My name is Damien Rohrbach Viadas.
I am an artist, designer and master jeweler.
I was born in Lausanne, from a mexican mother
and a swiss father.

One day I remembered that I once found a stone as a child,
during a journey through the woods and the mountains.
And I also remembered that thanks to that stone,
I had found the perfect way to connect and transcend.
This is how I discovered my craft, and became a jeweller.

For years I was a painter. Abstract art, landscapes,
many feelings, many experiences. Existencial art if you want a label.
A very wide color palette, thanks to my roots.
I never stopped drawing since my childhood.
Over the years my art shifted to jewelry, jewelry drawing,
then teaching, then 3D art and models.

In the middle, I created an
art and jewelry design institute in Mexico City.
I teached during 17 years.
That allowed me to be very prolific.
Artworks, jewels, 3D and web design...Teaching and producing.
So much that I took part in dozens of art shows, personal exhibits,
fashion shows, jewelry design contests, and also allowed me
to be featured in press and TV pretty often.

The school was the "Centro de Arte y Diseño en Joyería CADJ"
and then was renamed the "Atelier Lausana" for the last couple of years.
Working with the students was always very creative.
When I retired, I had trained over a 1000 students of all ages
and backgrounds from all around the world.

Alongside teaching and directing, I manufactured and designed
way over 8500 jewels for my own jewelry brand starting 2002.
Depending the aspect, artwork, jewelry design or education,
my expertise allowed me to work with international brands.
Although I always preferred creating engagment rings for private clients.

After all these years, I now mostly do 3D renders, designs and models
for clients all around the world. Mostly jewelry designs
and jewelry renders. Sometimes artistic, sometimes industrial.
Even if I am mostly done with teaching,
I keep making video tutorials.
What has changed the most, is my relation to time.
I used to work non-stop. But the world changed,
and it was time for me to change.
Creating has always been my way of life,
and always will be, no matter the media.
